From 01/01/2024 to 11/20/2024 Fire Departments have reported a cost of $1,373,071.75 for wildfire suppression in Texas. This cost goes towards the statewide FEMA threshold of $8.0 million that we must meet before anyone in Texas is eligible for FEMA funding after a disaster. This threshold starts over every January 1, so all wildfire reports you enter are greatly appreciated and could help you and your neighbor should disaster strike.
